Dartmouth / Tuck Interview Report: Early Action / Second-Year Student / Skype

The following Dartmouth / Tuck interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by an Early Action Round Applicant who was admitted. Congratulations to them!

I opted to take a chance and not interview on campus. I received an email that I was selected for a interview (since Tuck doesn’t grant everyone an interview if you don’t go in-person). I couldn’t make it to campus prior to the deadline, so I was able to schedule it via Skype.

It was scheduled to be a 30 minute Skype Interview. I prepped using previous Clear Admit Interview Reports, and that worked perfectly.

The interviewer was very professional. She started by talking a little bit about herself, and it rolled directly into the interview.

The flow went as follows:

  • Walk me through your résumé.
  • Tell me about a time you worked with a team and overcame an obstacle.
  • Why are you pursuing an MBA?
  • Why Tuck?
  • Do you have questions for me?
  • I asked about clubs, curriculum, recruiting opportunities, etc.

The interview went well, but Skype was definitely a different medium for me as opposed to in-person.

I got accepted, and it looks like I am heading to Tuck in the fall! Best of luck to everyone!
