The following Georgetown / McDonough MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them!

The interview was very friendly and casual. It lasted about 40 minutes long, and we covered a lot. My interviewer wore a backwards baseball cap! He hadn’t seen my application before – had only had a chance to look at my resume. He asked me most of the basic interview questions, including:

-Walk me through your resume.
-How did you end up where you are in your career now?
-What would you contribute to the McDonough community?
-Why business school? Why McDonough? Why now?
-What do you hope to do with an MBA?

Beyond the basics, he also gave me a chance to talk about my interests, why I am where I am in my life now, my hobbies, my Instagram (seriously!), etc. He gave me the opportunity to tell stories, and seemed excited to listen to my answers. Also, always appreciated, he asked at the end of the interview if I had anything else that I wanted to be sure he passed along to the admissions committee.

Overall, the vibe of this interview was great. It was my first MBA interview, and I left it with a great impression of McDonough. He answered all of my questions enthusiastically and really sold me on the school.
