UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business Names New Career Management Group Leader

Julia Min HwangJulia Min Hwang was named head of the Career Management Group at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business last month, a role in which she will serve all Haas students and alumni in the school’s full-time MBA, evening and weekend MBA and Berkeley MBA for Executives programs.

Named executive director of career management services and corporate engagement on June 2nd, Hwang will also oversee corporate engagement for Haas, including cultivating relationships with prospective employers to increase student career opportunities as well as for speaking engagements and experiential learning opportunities.

“I am thrilled to be joining this amazing team and working with our entire MBA student population and alumni,” Hwang said in a statement. “I also look forward to working with our internal and external partners to enhance our corporate engagement.”

Hwang has until now served as executive director of the Haas full-time MBA program, a role in which she helped improve and innovate students experiences both in academics and student activities. She co-led the Berkeley Innovative Leader Development (BILD) initiative, the school’s signature strategy for developing innovative leaders.

As Hwang moves into her new role at the Career Management Group, Dan Sullivan, senior director of academic affairs in the full-time MBA Program, will serve as interim executive director.
