GMAC Adds Online Content, Resources to Its GMAT Review Series

gmatThe Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), in partnership with Wiley, is enhancing its Official Guide for GMAT® Review series with added online content, videos and a unique study tool that lets users customize their own practice question sets, the council announced today.

The enhancements to the Official Guide for GMAT® Review 2015 are designed to make studying for the GMAT exam easier and more convenient, according to GMAC, which owns and administers the business school entrance exam. GMAC has published 13 previous editions of its Official Guide for GMAT Review, giving business school applicants access to hundreds of real, retired GMAT questions. The 2015 series is the first to combine questions in both book and online form. “The Official Guide for GMAT Review has been a consistently popular trade publication since the first edition was published in 1978,” Ashok Sarathy, GMAC vice president, product management, said in a statement. “Now, we are making studying for the GMAT exam easier and more flexible, as people can both annotate the book and customize question sets with the new, online component.”

The 2015 series will contain the same content as the Official Guide for GMAT Review, 13th Edition, and the Official Guide for Quantitative Review, Second Edition, and the Official Guide for Verbal Review, Second Edition. In addition, it will provide applicants with access to exclusive online content, videos and a study tool that will allow them to customize practice sets by question format and difficulty level.

The Official Guide for GMAT Review 2015 retails for $45.96 and includes 900 retired questions and answer explanations, a diagnostic test, online access to 50 Integrated Reasoning questions and sample essay questions. The Official Guide for GMAT Quantitative Review 2015 and Official Guide for GMAT Verbal Review 2015 retail for $19.95 each and include more than 300 additional questions each in the print books. Online access to exclusive videos and a tool to put the questions into customized question sets is included in the purchase price for all components of the 2015 series.

“We see our role as giving candidates the best opportunity to perform to the best of their ability on the GMAT exam,” Sarathy said. “The online enhancements made to the 2015 edition are the first of many improvements, and we plan to update the Guides on an annual basis,” Sarathy said.

The 2015 series is available at bookstores worldwide and at the mba.com/store.
