Fridays From the Frontline

GMATHello and welcome to Fridays from the Frontline, Clear Admit’s weekly exhaustive enumeration of the enterprising entries in the b-school blogosphere.  This week, current applicants are in full GMAT prep-mode, contemplating choice of schools and full versus part-time programs, while the Class of 2016 is looking forward to starting their MBA programs  in just a few short weeks, and all the life and career changes that will bring. This week we also welcome blogger QuietTiger81who is sharing his perspective as a second year student at Oxford

MBAonMyMind has added YaleSOM to the tally board, given the school’s focus on  social impact businesses, and with three weeks into GMAT prep, all is going according to plan. With a GMAT prep plan of his own, GrantMeAdmission is gaining on his 760 goal with three life hacks to help him stay focused and positive.  GrantMeAdmission also takes some time to discuss the pros and cons of doing a part-time MBA, and why he chose to go the full-time route.

For his part, TimBob shares advice given to him about how to best prepare for an upcoming move to Boston and Harvard Business SchoolNumber 3 is certainly a challenge, but one can never be too prepared!

QuietTiger81 is blogging about Trinity Term at Oxford  and weeks 5 and 6 bring news of a significant revamp of the MBA program for the incoming class, while week 7 brings news of winning a Strategic Consulting Project for the summer in Oxford.  MBAOver30 is using some of the summertime lull to reflect on the first year at Wharton

Across the country, Anderson‘s incoming student bloggers continue to update us about moving to LA and their excitement about becoming part of the Anderson community.  Mike Leve ’16 shares some excellent recommendations for the essential pre-MBA ‘presearch’. Zafeer Khan ’16 shares his experience and helpful tips for searching for an LA apartment. Finally, Asher Kurland ’16 has made the transcontinental trip with his family in tow.

And that’s all the news for this week’s edition of Fridays From the Frontline. As we here on the East Coast of the United States are enjoying the warm days of summer, we  also hope that current applicants continue to update us with information about statuses and future plans, and that current students and recent grads also update their blogs with summer activities, or as they transition into post MBA careers.
