Fridays From The Frontline

Hello and welcome to Fridays From The Frontline, Clear Admit’s fashionable foray into the frenetic and fascinating world of the b-school blogosphere. This week applicants were primarily focused on R1 interview invitations and preparation, while current students covered a broader range of experiences that they have enjoyed since starting the school year.

Ppandey received a disheartening rejection from HBS, and assumed another would soon follow from MIT, but decided to turn his attentions to a possible entrepreneurial venture. Sarah utilized her research background to explore the question of how friendly different b-schools are, and welcomed others’ thoughts on the subject.  Poetic Quant also had interview news to report, which included describing his recent Fisher interview  as well as receiving an LBS interview invitation, which was met with a double fist pump. MBA the Nonprofit Way decompressed a bit by catching up on housework and car repair while still waiting to hear from Haas and Stanford. Domotron submitted his Tuck application and turned his attentions to preparing for his London Wharton and Booth interviews.  TimBob ignored everything except preparing for his upcoming HBS interview.

INSEAD ’14J Natasha shared a post she wrote before arriving at INSEAD that illustrates her mindset and the experiences she already began to have through joining relevant school Facebook groups. Said ’14 Kajal  noted that 28% of her class were women, and explained what a wonderful group of women they were. INSEAD ’14J Louise contributed to the INSEAD blog series on diversity. Fuqua ’15 James shared 25 random facts about himself in the spirit of one of Fuqua’s essay prompts for this year.

McCombs ’14 Chirali balanced multiple celebrations with a course load she was enjoying.  Fuqua ’14 Crystal  shared her b-school bucket list, which included attending a Duke basketball game and networking.

And that’s the news for this week. We hope to continue to hear more about applicants’ R1 interview outcomes. And we certainly encourage all readers and bloggers to share their interview experiences with us via our Interview Archive. Until next week, have a wonderful weekend!
