News, advice and resources for business school applicants

Fridays From the Frontlines

Hello there and welcome to Fridays From the Frontline, Clear Admit’s weekly blog post featuring the lastest missives from the b-school blogosphere. This week found applicants continuing to hear back from schools while students turned their attentions to conferences and community.

MBA Over 30 recounted the reasons he thought his MIT interview hadn’t gone well … before happily reporting that he received an acceptanceSanket reflected on the reasons behind ISB’s fall in the FT rankings.

Tuck ’14 The Senator chimed in after a lengthy silence to discuss his first few months at Tuck and the entire recruiting experience. Anderson ’14 Kyle attended a consumer electronics show in Las Vegas with his fellow classmates. INSEAD ’13 Weiwen reflected on the Abu Dhabi module experience she recently completed. McCombs ’14 Shelby thoroughly enjoyed her first winter break in six years. Kellogg ’14 Freya gave those from warmer climates a sense of what winter in Evanston really means.

Darden ’13 Kevin knew that his blog had been silent too long, and shared a number of short vignettes from his recent experiences at Darden. Tepper ’13 Julianne turned her attentions to the approaches different schools and countries take to evaluating students or colleagues. Darden ’13 The Constant Dardener expounded on the virtues of the tutor program and happily noted that nearly 20% of the second year class signed up to help first years find their way through the most challenging of coursework.

And that’s a wrap for this installment of Fridays From the Frontline. We hope that applicants get a bit of rest and balance while waiting for more news from their R1 or R2 schools, and that students continue to enjoy dynamic academic and extracurricular lives on campus!
