News, advice and resources for business school applicants

Fridays From the Frontline

Hello there and welcome to Fridays From the Frontline, Clear Admit’s weekly look-see into the lives of MBA applicant and student bloggers. This week was entirely quiet on the applicant front. No doubt they’re focusing all their energies on making sure their essays are in order and their recommenders are on schedule. But students have begun to post more now that schools are back in session.

Anderson ’14 Chris got by on six hours of sleep and bought a motorcycle. Wharton ’14 Cheetarah gave her readers a few pointers about how to tackle the Chicago Booth PowerPoint essay.  Kellogg ’14 Night Owl was reminded of the stellar songwriting abilities of Stevie Wonder. INSEAD ’13 Olga finally found a moment to share her thoughts about the first few weeks of classes. Anderson ’14 Alejandra celebrated her birthday with orientation activities.

LBS ’13 AK knew that many readers may have concerns about changes in visa protocol in the UK and provided his thoughts on the matter. Johnson ’13 Ellipser was happy about the uptick in applications to the school over the last year.  Ross ’13 Calvina enjoyed her internship, though she wasn’t sure she’d stay in the healthcare industry.  McCombs ’13 Dan did his best to bring baseball to Australia during his summer internship.

And that’s a wrap for this week’s edition of Fridays From the Frontline. We hope that applicants are handling the stresses of balancing work and applications, and that students continue to share the latest from their class and campus experiences.

  1. Correction: I am Booth ’14.

  2. Dear Cheetarah,
Sorry for that mistake. You’ll see we’ve attributed the right school to you now. Thanks for the heads up!
