News, advice and resources for business school applicants

Fridays From the Frontline

Welcome to Fridays From the Frontline, Clear Admit’s weekly perusal of the latest news from the b-school blogosphere. This week found more students chiming in about their internships and travels. We’re certainly glad to see what they’ve been up to over the summer!

Motown recapped her summer goals, which included creating a budget for the school year and reading three books. MBAOver30 reflected on the tone he wanted to use on his blog as he moved forward with his applications. Sassafrass just wanted to be average. Unfathomable met with a representative from a competitive non-U.S. b-school and shared some of the takeaways he gained from the interview.

Anderson ’14 Ann read one of the school’s required reading books and thought about herself in terms of being a ‘startup.’ INSEAD ’13 Rahul reflected on what he learned as he made his way towards his first experiences at INSEAD. Anderson ’14 Kyle shared what it was like to finally learn what section he belonged to and what courses he would be taking.

Johnson ’13 Ellipser included thoughts on internships, salaries and how to talk about money in his latest post. INSEAD ’12 Cliff couldn’t believe his internship was complete and that he was half way done with his time in the program. LBS ’12 Lee Ann explained that there was no substitute to actually visiting China for yourself.

And that’s a wrap for this week. We hope that first year students enjoy their impending orientations and team building exercises, and that returning students are prepared to give their second years all they’ve got! Until next week, have a great weekend.
