News, advice and resources for business school applicants

Fridays From the Frontline

Hello and welcome to Fridays From the Frontline, Clear Admit’s weekly perusal of the best of the b-school blogosphere. After a hiatus last week, we’re glad to get back into the latest happenings of applicants and students alike. We imagine that as August heats up, we’ll hear even more from applicants and first year students.

Asax took a look at the upcoming BTG webinars, some of which will feature members of Clear Admit! While he knew that more drafting would be in order, MBAOver30 was glad to have first essay drafts for the majority of his non-consortium schools. The Senator attended Morgan Stanley’s ‘Early Insights MBA Program’ and shared some of those insights with his readers. Cheetarah enjoyed a European adventure but also discussed the very real concerns one can have over a dwindling bank account.

Anderson ’14 Dwight had a few thoughts he wanted to convey to applicants for this cycle.

Cornell ’13 Ellipser attended an event in NYC for former, current and future Cornell studentsTepper ’13 Julianne only had three weeks remaining in her summer internship and was already preparing herself for the full-time job search she’ll embark upon in her second year. McCombs ’13 Courtney checked in to discuss her internship path and progress. INSEAD ’12 Varun answered a few questions from prospective students. Darden ’13 Jeffrey celebrated a birthday an happily returned to Charlottesville.

And that’s a wrap for this round of Fridays From the Frontline. We hope that internships continue to be positive learning experiences for current students, and that this year’s applicants are brainstorming their essay topics well in advance of their R1 deadlines. Until next week, have a great weekend!
