News, advice and resources for business school applicants

Fridays From the Frontline

Welcome to Fridays From the Frontline, Clear Admit’s dedicated blog feature focused on the lives of applicant and student bloggers in the MBA blogosphere. This week found applicants fine tuning their application strategies and some students resurfacing after time away.

Asaxshared a TED video with the focus on “why you will fail to have a great career.”  After a conversation with Cheetarah, MBAOver30 changed his application plans just a bit. Sassafrass pondered what it meant to be an ‘atypical’ MBA applicant and likened getting into and going to b-school as a “huge hike.”

Anderson ’14 Alejandra celebrated her impending move with good friends, and wished her mother a happy birthday. Chicago Booth ’14 Cheetarah trekked all the way to Chicago, moved into her new apartment, and expressed her need for further exposure to and understanding of accounting.  Anderson ’14 Chris wrote about the experience of attending a school in the States as a European and looked forward to getting to know the glory of an In-N-Out burger.

Johnson ’13 Ellipser encouraged readers to check out a former classmate’s Kickstarter campaign.  Anderson ’13 Gregory shared a few details from his trip to Japan. Johnson ’13 Lynette returned to blogging from Wisconsin, and briefly explained what she had been doing since her last post.

And that’s all they wrote for this installment of Clear Admit. We hope that wherever you might be located, you’ve been enjoying the spectacle that is the Olympics and that your country’s team has had a few moments of glory! Until next week, have a great weekend.
