News, advice and resources for business school applicants

Fridays From the Frontline

Welcome, readers, to today’s edition of Fridays From the Frontline, where we at Clear Admit bring you the best of the b-school blogosphere.  While the summer going is still slow, applicants and admits alike are beginning to post on the upcoming admissions season with revived enthusiasm for the coming year.

Along with putting down her Wharton deposit and accepting an internship offer, Motown did some charity and travel in India.  Cheetarah decided to pay it forward and share her advice on securing recommendations from direct managers, noting how “a closed mouth [does not] get fed.”  Meanwhile, Str1der finalized his list of schools, watched several movies and revised Cheetarah’s tips for those with Indian managers.  As more schools release their essay topics, Sanket gave his own summary of the emerging trends in this admissions season’s essays.

Tepper ’13 Julianne has resolved to take a hardcore analytics course, drink less soda and post to her blog more regularly.

And that’s the week for you.  We’re glad that applicants and admits are connecting on admissions topics, and stay tuned here and on the Clear Admit blog to catch all the latest application information as the schools release it.  Until next time, enjoy your week!
