Fridays From the Frontline
Hello there and welcome to Fridays From the Frontline, our ongoing weekly post positively prowling the b-school blogosphere for the latest updates from MBA applicants and current students. This week more interview invitations rolled out while students attended a variety of conferences and events.
Pyarpopat recounted his recent off-site Ross interview experience, which he generally felt went well though he stumbled with his explanation of how he would attain his long-term goal. Motown attended an NYU Stern diversity weekend event and enjoyed the mock marketing course and the Greenwich Village vibe. Ms. HR also had a positive experience visiting Johnson’s campus and admired its buildings and gorges. Ccatcher reported an interview invitation extended to her by Kellogg and already had a number of suggestions on how she could improve her responses.
Said ’13 Bayo joined fellow students for a Diwali dance performance and was elected as Chairman of the Private Equity OBN. Johnson ’13 Ellipser shared a snippet of a recent finance quiz and explained how much of a different language it is to him. Tepper ’13 Julianne enjoyed a hard weekend full of case interview prep sponsored by the Consulting Club and Deloitte.
Darden ’12 Dave accepted a job offer and solidified some of the details. GW ’12 Part-Timer gave his readers an overview of the recent Consulting Club social networking event he attended. INSEAD ’12 V. did not, in any way, enjoy the film ‘In Time.’ LBS ’12 mbahut considered the question of inclusion. Kellogg ’12 Jeremy turned his attentions to the Kellogg Marketing Competition, which he called one of the “more fun things” on campus. Darden ’12 Jonathan traveled to Portland, Oregon for the Net Impact Conference. Harvard ’12 Pankaj focused on global competitiveness as seen through the eyes of an engineer. Darden ’12 Darden Poet focused on two big charity events coming up on campus, one of which was an annual mustache competition.
