Hello and welcome back to Fridays From The Frontline, Clear Admit’s weekly round-up of the b-school blogosphere. This week most students were completing their exams while more and more applicants were receiving news from their first round applications.
Foo Blogger was interviewed over the phone by a Kellogg adcom. Steve had a bad feeling about an email from Tuck, but moved forward with his plans to visit Cornell. A Beautiful Mind met a Kenan-Flagler alumnus in Mumbai for his interview and found that he was a little more dressed up. XLick took advantage of all the eating opportunities he was given over a four day period. Bizwiz looked over his past year’s essays to prepare for his new applications. Illuminati rode an extremely powerful tsunami of emotion. AJ loved her essay writing process, and felt that it was a clear sign that her decision on b-school was the right one. Madalogue received an invite from Darden and spent some time in one of her favorite places.
Kellogg ’11 Windsor finished his exams but was already excited and ready to think about his next semester’s course load. Chicago Booth ’11 GlobThink shared his case framework for consulting interviews, which was quite nice and thorough of him. Harvard ’11 Military To Business reflected on the disparity between CEO pay for those in the financial sector, and those not in the financial sector. Kellogg ’11 D.G. returned from a Kellogg Venture Capital trek and found that two areas of high tech investment stood out. Goizueta ’11 MissionMBA made himself available for any prospective students with questions about the school. IIMB ’10 Happy Libran saw his seventh term start off and prepared for job placement.
McCombs ’10 Paragon2Pieces remained concerned over her GPA, but the first few grades were promising. LBS ’10 Out on a Limb and eight of his fellow LBS’ers were soon to be climbing on Mt. Kilamanjaro. Darden ’10 Mechanigal spent her Thanksgiving break in California, highlights of which included the Golden Gate and Silicon Valley. McCombs ’10 Metal planned to meet with a few applicants and finished his TA responsibilities. INSEAD ’10 Out of My Jeans provided his opinion on relationships in business school. Fuqua ’10 Syed needed to take two exams over three weeks.
And that sums up this week’s cyber peek into the world of MBA applicants and students. We hope that those who receive zaps bounce back nicely, and we congratulate those with happier news. Until next time, stay warm and happy holidays!
