More Waitlist Offers, Other News from Harvard Business School

In a post to her blog yesterday, Harvard Business School (HBS) Director of Admissions and Financial Aid Dee Leopold shared a smattering of interesting updates.

For starters, HBS will be making more offers from the waitlist this year. “We hope to make the majority of these decisions as soon as we can – definitely before the end of May,” Leopold wrote. According to one of her earlier posts, HBS extended roughly 40 invitations to waitlisters from Round 1 last week.

Leopold also shared that the deadline for Round 1 next year will be earlier in October, before the HBS campus is open to prospective applicants for class visits. Therefore, Leopold encourages those who are thnking about applying in Round 1 next year to consider a class visit this spring.

Visits are available through May 8th and can be scheduled using an online calendar by clicking here. “Visiting an HBS class has absolutely no impact on the application process,” Leopold stated. “We just want everyone to know that you are welcome.”

Finally, Leopold offered additional assurances that international students in future HBS classes will have access to loans that don’t require a U.S. co-signer. No details or terms on specific programs have yet been announced, but Clear Admit will be following these developments closely and will post details here as soon as they have been finalized.
