Welcome to Fridays From The Frontline and 2010! We hope that the last moments of 2009 were to your liking and that your entire holiday season was filled with good food, friends and locations. The MBA blogosphere continues to buzz, as students look back on their recently completed semesters and enjoy their time off and applicants hear from more round one schools and prepare for round two deadlines.
A Beautiful Mind had his holidays snatched away from him by Ross essays and struggled with the school’s word limits. Xlick wished his readers a happy new year and shared the view of his desk that he has had for almost three years. HBS Dork was further inspired about his recent acceptance after watching a 45 minute video all about Harvard. Illuminati shared some of his favorite 2009 memories, from seeing his father buy a car to falling in love. Hari compiled his favorite MBA blog posts of the year. Rocky attended a Babson information session and met with his interviewer.
Kellogg ’11 Windsor made a slight change to his winter course lineup. Harvard ’11 Military to Business looked back on his term one courses. Kellogg ’11 Shobhit thought that Google should buy Yelp if the price was right. Kellogg ’11 Orlando knew that Turbo Finance was an intense course to consider but, having lived through it, thought it was worth the time and energy.
LBS ’10 Out on a Limb recounted his Kili climbing experience and slept in a tent in the Serengeti. As graduation grew nearer, Marshall ’10 Andrew was going to shift the content of his blog. Darden ’10 July Dream was a bit annoyed by the actions of Mumbai taxi drivers. After 6,000 miles McCombs ’10 Metal was home, and didn’t have a trace of jet lag. Fuqua ’10 Ian looked back at his religious schooling and the diversity of his Fuqua friends.
And that’s all the goings-on in world of b-school bloggers. Until next week, enjoy the new year and have a great weekend!
