Wharton Update

With Wharton’s deadline slated for 5 PM (EST) today, things have clearly been heating up on the school’s server. Applicants in the student2student forums have been reporting problems with payment (tip: stick to Internet Explorer) and sluggish upload times throughout the night and into this morning. There also seems to be an issue where the system fails to recognize user login information. Our understanding is that the school is working on these issues. Hang in there everyone!

In other news that will be of interest to Wharton admits, the school has changed their merit-based fellowships policy this year. In the past, these fellowships were awarded by the committee, with all admitted students being eligible. This year, the school requires that admitted students do the following to be eligible:

1. Submit a personal statement of 500 words or less describing:
- Why you think you should be considered for a Fellowship;
- How receiving a Fellowship will impact your ability to give back to the Wharton community.
2. Submit a one-page resume

That’s the latest Wharton news. Best of luck to those of you who are applying in R2!
